Bio

Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and formerly of the Halifax area, Jonathan Edwards now makes his home in Ottawa, Ontario. With nearly 20 years of professional experience, Jonathan has had a varied and multifaceted music career covering stage, theatre, recording, and TV performances.

His influences are diverse, as evidenced by the wide variety of styles he's played with various artists and bands over the years, and is comfortable in most musical situations. He also has a keen interest in songwriting, developed from his time in several all-original groups, particularly the East Coast Music Award nominated SenseAmelia Project.

Adept with fretted and fretless bass, as well as harmony vocals, Jonathan also plays guitar, mandolin, oud, keyboards, and percussion. His studio is his main focus, but he is also available for live work as a bassist and/or guitarist.
